Using categories in Wordpress

To organize categories with their own pages in WordPress using Nicepage, you'll need to manage the structure of your content using both WordPress's built-in features and potentially additional plugins or customization.
Here's a step-by-step guide to achieve this:
1. Setting up Categories in WordPress:

In your WordPress dashboard, navigate to "Posts" -> "Categories" to create the categories you want, such as "Colors" and "Numbers".
Create Pages for Each Category:

Go to "Pages" -> "Add New" and create pages corresponding to each main category, like "Colors" and "Numbers". Use these pages as placeholders for the category archive pages.
2. Assigning Pages to Categories:
You mentioned using the "Pages with category and tag" plugin. Ensure that the plugin is correctly installed and activated. This plugin or a similar one should allow you to associate specific pages with respective categories.
Edit the "Colors" page and assign it to the "Colors" category using the plugin's functionality. Do the same for the "Numbers" page and the "Numbers" category.
3. Creating Sub-Categories and Sub-Pages:

For each main category ("Colors" and "Numbers"), create sub-categories. For example, under "Colors", create sub-categories like "Red", "Blue", etc. Similarly, under "Numbers", create sub-categories like "One", "Two", etc.
Create Sub-Pages:
Create individual pages for each sub-category. For instance, create pages titled "Red", "Blue" under the "Colors" page, and "One", "Two" under the "Numbers" page.

WordPress automatically generates category archive pages. When you visit a URL like https://mysite.com/colors, it should display posts assigned to the "Colors" category.
5. Permalinks Configuration:
Go to "Settings" -> "Permalinks" in your WordPress dashboard to configure how your URLs are structured. Choose a permalink structure that suits your needs, such as "Post name", to have URLs like https://mysite.com/colors/red.

Ensure that the URLs match the structure you're aiming for by setting up the permalinks accordingly.

I have 200 categories, each one having up to 20 posts associated with them.
I have a site set up using K2 on joomla which facilitates a magazine rack display.

The magazines are all set up as categories which display on a top level page with one featured and the rest laid out in four columns. Selecting a category tile opens the magazine top page with a header, flip-book and all the magazine article intros as tiles with feature images, a PDF link, and a read more link which opens the article post. Can this be done with Nicepage? I particularly want to avoid creating a separate page for each category, rather, I would like to set up a single page that will populate the category posts as called in the slug auto-generated in the categories page tiles.
