The video sound is not working

Hi,

Thanks for being our customer!

Videos are always mute when you enable Automatically start to play in the video options. This is the default behavior.

However, if you turn on displaying player controls, you can enable sound manually.

I got the same problem here. I uploaded my own .mp4 video file. There are no adjustable settings visible (grayed out) in NP and after uploading it to internet I see the the video but no sound.

OK...Then I read your answer to 'pnvteam'...

Then went back to NP, empty the cel and choose again 'Video >' from the Add llst on the left and yes, I see the video options! I enable the setting 'Automatically start to play' and 'Display player controls'. Then change the standard NP video into my own but the video options then disappear suddenly. Huh?
After uploading the page to internet the video shows well but no sound again...

What do I have to do get sound and a sound player control with own video's, not just You Tube versions?
Do I overlook something?

I need your advice. Thanks!

Hi,

Looks like you have enlarged the video and it was converted into the background. Background videos do not have the options that a Video control has as background is a CSS rule and the video is a separate element that can have some additional options.

thanks for your quick reply!
You're right. I enlarged first the video in Filmora and exported it later as a mp4 file.
In Nicepage I checked 'expand to background' in the specific cel.

So, if I uncheck that and adjust the video in all viewports manually, the video can be viewed online with sound?
I'll try....

I've tried it just now and you're right again: now video controls appear on the right when I uncheck the 'expand to background' button.

I have to be carefull though not to fill manually the whole cell with the video by the handles, because then automatically the 'expand to background' button is activated and video options vanish again <:-(.

Hi Hella, I'm back again.

Something stays weird. Video upload went well, video markers are displayed correctly.

But still no sound. If I click the sound icon in the video 'ON' the video freezes. When I disable sound the video runs further.

Which setting in Nicepage is crucial for getting the sound on while playing the video also?

I tried it also in Chrome and Firefox browsers on another device but now I hear music too while the video is running!
So the culprit was probably my old Macbook who couldn't manage the video well.

It works now as intended, with the settings you showed on 05 october 2023 in a previous post.
