I guess it will. I thought there might be an option to see what images are used and which ones I can remove. Is there anything like this?

It is not possible to delete an image that is already used on a page. You will see this message when you try to do so:

Actually I wanted a procedure that would auto remove these. I changed many pictures and the more I changed them the bigger the export file got. The next procedure I'm going to do is switch the pictures to a webp format. Does nicepage support this graphic format? Also is there a automatic way of removing pictures not used?
Thank you in advance for looking into these questions.

Does nicepage support this graphic format?
Yes, Nicepage supports the .webp extension.
Also is there a automatic way of removing pictures not used?
Unfortunately, this feature is not presented in Nicepage. During the export, all images from the images folder are exported. I can only suggest the manual deletion of unnecessary images from the images folder. You can find it in Documents/Nicepage, in the Project folder (Site_###). After deleting images, relaunch the Nicepage app.
We hope that media management will be more advanced in the future.
