Ask a Question

ok, I am close to pulling my hair. I have designed one page more than 4 times in the last 24hrs each time giving it about 2hrs of my time. why does each page size fight itself? If I make edits on the portrait on the landscape phone site why is the desktop size going haywire?
this utterly ridiculous! I spend more time trying to correct the responsive aspect of this site and I am frustrated.

is there a better way to go about this? are we just supposed to build on the desktop app and never make edits in Wordpress? how does this then make it easy for clients to confidently manage their sites on their own?

Hello,

I also see this as Nicepage's biggest problem at the moment. You sit down for hours and build a page in the desktop app and upload it to the CMS and then everything is different. And if you are unlucky, there will be an update and you will start all over again.
I still think the basic idea of Nicepage is ok, but the rest fails.

greetings

Hi,

Nicepage provides various algorithms to adapt the created layout for smaller screens. But it is impossible to automate everything. Therefore, you need to follow certain rules that will facilitate the page building:

  • use the layout controls like Group, Grid, List. This is important when you need to move a few controls together. Also, it is better to use control alignment options available on the right-side panel;

  • use the "Reset Responsive" option. Each responsive mode can have its own settings for individual controls. This option removes all adjustments, and you can start all over again. Sometimes this is the best solution. Then you adjust the responsive layout from Desktop to Phone mode.

  • keep in mind that not all control settings can be changed in each responsive mode separately. Only some style changes can be changed. And only if these changes do not affect the page HTML structure. For example, you can change the position of the element and move it a few pixels left or right, change font size, etc. But you cannot change the order of elements or move the control outside the Grid/Group.

  • keep in mind that there is an inheritance of the responsive settings. It goes from Desktop to Phone mode and stops when you make changes in any responsive mode. You can back to this inheritance with the "Reset Responsive" option.

  • do not forget that our team can help you with the building responsive layout if you provide us with more details about the issues you encountered with the screenshots.

doesn't really matter. The platform still has a long way to go. I am VERY worried about even having my clients trying to manage this themselves (good thing you have now have the option to restrict it to just content). But for clients, who want to own things and make structural changes - This is a Nightmare. Things break without you even doing anything sometimes.

Nicepage,

I have several times posted my recommendation but yet you do not listen. Currently there is 5 websites varients to work with and yet you cannot reduce or make it easy. This is what I recommended and please implement this ASAP

(1) Combine desktop and laptops into one. Does not matter whether you have a wide screen monitor or a smaller laptop. It should display the same - 992px and up
(2) Combine tablet and landscape into one. They look similiar
(3) Leave portrait phones as it is for mobile devices

Thank you

It's 2024. This problem persists.

Amigo, and the year 2030 will come, if it does, as things are going so bad here, I doubt it, but if I tell you something, you will be waiting for them to solve it, because I assure you that they will not do it, as it happens with many Nicepage customers, so unfortunately, you will be bald, without hair.
