Nicepage does not support WordPress.com.
The Nicepage Theme is a fully customizable WordPress Theme, including the Editor Plugin. You can export the Nicepage WordPress Theme and Plugin as a zip file and install them on your hosted WordPress website.
The following video tutorial was made with one of the previous versions. We are updating the videos.
Export Theme From Desktop Application
Take the following steps to export the Nicepage Theme and Content from the Desktop Application for Windows or Mac OS.
- Run the Desktop Application.
- Open your working Project.
- Click the Publish & Export button on the Top Bar.
- Select the WordPress Tab.
- Specify the File Name and Path, if needed.
- Click the Export Button.
Import Theme, Plugin, and Pages
To import the Nicepage WordPress Theme, please do the following.
- Open the WordPress Admin.
- Open Appearance -> Themes.
- Click the Add New Theme button.
- Click the Upload Theme button.
- Browse the Theme ZIP exported from the Application and click the "Install Now" button.
- Click Activate.
Import Wizard
- After the Activation, the Wizard starts.
- Click the Install Plugin button to install the Nicepage Plugin in the Wizard dialog.
- You may skip this step to install only the Theme.
- Install the Nicepage Plugin.
- Besides the Editor, your exported zip contains the Pages, Images, Sidebar, and Menu.
- Click the Import Content button.
- Click the Install Content button in the wizard dialog.
Set Home Page As Default
IMPORTANT! Your WordPress site shows the Blog as the home page by default.
To set the Home Page as the default, please do the following.
- Open the WordPress Admin.
- Go to the Settings -> Reading section.
- Choose the Static Page option for the "You homepage displays" property.
- Select your Home page for the Homepage option.
- You may also select the Blog page for the Posts page.
- Click the Save Changes button to save the Settings.
Edit Pages In WordPress
After installing the Nicepage Theme, Plugin, and Content, you can edit Pages directly on your WordPress website using the Nicepage Editor Plugin.
- Go to Pages -> Home, for example.
- Click the Edit with Nicepage link to run the Editor.
- click on the Page name to open its details.
- Click the Edit with Nicepage" button on the Page Details page.
Preview Site
Click the WordPress -> Visit Site link to the top left of the WordPress Administration to preview your website.
