Ask a Question

When I highlight text in a text box and click hyperlink and then put in the link I desire and close and save, the link becomes a button and even though it is centered in the editor, when viewing the web page the button is left justified and font is shaded gray? I have hyperlinks throught my web pages and the (button) problem is new..probably since I installed the nicepage update into joomla. I don't know what to do?
Thanks,
Brad Hammett

I have the same problem. Any time I try to add a link in the text, it automatically creates a button and screws everything up. I also use Joomla and I'm a bit more disappointed with Nicepage with every update.

Hi,

Any time I try to add a link in the text, it automatically creates a button

This is behavior by default. Now the button control used to style both Button and Link. If the text shifts to the next link when the link is added, please update the theme installed on your CMS. For this update, Nicpage Desktop application, re-export, and re-install the theme. This should help.

I have no idea what your solution here is supposed to mean.
I don't want buttons created for my links. I want them to be in text links. This is a ridiculous and absurd default setting. I purchased nicepage because you claimed it integrated with joomla.
The integration is a mess if I have to reinstall themes to get a basic functionality like this.

Hi,

As mentioned previously, this is behavior by default. The Button control is now used to apply styles to the text links too. But the link is still an HTML link. There is should be no difference on the final page. If you encountered the issue with word wrapping around the link on the CMS website please update the theme installed on this website to load the latest styles and scripts. This should help.

I don't have my website on the desktop? It's been built using the plug in for joomla. How do I update the theme in this case, and not loose a year of building?

Is there any chance the links are not working right because the are links to the mp3"s in a audio folder internal to the web site? They still wok, but are left justified after saving edits. Also, the links created many months ago are unaffected. They are not shifting to the left. Just any new edits in recent months.....Brad

Hi,

The exact solution depends on the specific issue. The theme update helps in most cases. The issue happens when the updated plugin brings new features, but the Nicepage theme installed on the website was created with the old Nicepage version. In this case, we suggest updating the theme. The new theme should be exported from the updated Desktop application. There is no need to export and import content. You need the theme only. Of course, if you're using a Nicepage theme on your website.

I'm going to jump in here with a bit of whining on this. I no longer have the original website created in the desktop app - haven't accessed it in three years and lost it during a hard drive crash. I'm also having this problem where the text wraps after the link is inserted. Updating the theme is not a viable solution here. There ought to be something better for an anwers.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the old theme "does not know" about changes we made to the Nicepage plugin since it was created. Therefore some conflicts are possible. Therefore we recommend updating both theme and plugin to receive the theme with the most recent fixes and styles/scripts for new features.
