Linking to a PDF

Hi John,

You should have a direct full link to your PDF and insert it as a link to the desired element in Nicepage editor.

Thanks Hella, I have been doing that although getting the full link is a pain. I guess I am getting lazy as within Joomla you can just link directly to the media contents.

You are welcome. Probably you can get the link to your PDF more easily. If you upload it with the Joomal media upload, then they should be placed in the images folder and the pass will be like http://yoursite.com/images/name.pdf

Thanks, Hella, I did that and am now okay.
I did, however, find an issue. I have a list of items in a list and each bullet item is a different link, however, I have to unlist them before I can add the hyperlinks. So what I am saying is I cannot use links on listed items.

I have tried to add a link to the list items and that worked fine. Maybe you could record a video showing what is wrong on your side.

In the meantime, I removed the bullet list and added the links that way.

Hi Hella, I am struggling to get a video but will keep trying!!

In the meantime I have tried again and yes I can add the link URL but it does not show on preview as a hyperlink as setup in theme master.

When I set up the list with bullets this is the case
When I remove the bullet list the items show as hyperlinks as would be expected

Hi John,

What you mean by "shown as a hyperlinks"? When you add a list item, then highlight the text of the item and press the link sign in the pop-up options, add a link. Then the text automatically has a link and clicking on it you can see the options to link or unlink the text.

Hi Hella, what I am saying is shown in the attached images.

Link 1 shows no bullet list
Link 2 shows the same with a bullet list

The url's are still there in the link 2 example but they do not show as hyperlinks as set up in the Theme | Headings and Text setup.

Hi John,

I'm terribly sorry for the delay. I have found your case not responded for some reason in our system.
Each element like text, hyperlink, and list has its own typography settings. You can find the default settings under the Theme >> Headings and Text. The text inside list has the color of the bullet list test. The same is related to the links. This is behavior by default.
But you can change the color of the text for specific Text control if needed.
