Ask a Question

I have been testing out the Custom Positions in Nicepage, but I am totally confused about how to do this. Basically I would like to create a article in Joomla and have it appear in the Nicepage website. The problem is how can I do this? I have tried making a article and having it post in Joomla.

For this to work I have tried a custom module, and a post template. All I want to do is create a blog in Nicepage with a custom position. I have followed the video, but it does not work. I have all of the other pages created. How can I do this, am I missing something? I am totally frustrated with the process. Even following the video nothing posts, but the custom position does appear. I do NOT want a sidebar or anything like that. All I want to do is get this to work. HOW???

Please do not give me a canned response referring me to the video or another post. This is redictulous!

Hi Dale,

So you need the blog page with some module positions? Then you need to edit the Blog template in the desktop application, there you can add your custom positions (as you have watched the video, you know how to do that) and also style the design of the blog posts. Then install this theme in your Joomla site, create articles. Add the menu item of the Featured articles, Category blog or Archived articles, the menu item of those types will automatically take the design of the Blog template you have created. Please let me know what step gives you the problem.

Menu was the trick to this. I looked at the video and as I recall, it didn't cover this adding the item to the menu, but I could be wrong. Thank you very much for this information. It worked perfectly.
