Report a bug

I'm not able to import my nicepage template into Joomla following your web video instructions. Everything works fine until I try to import the Content from Template under the Templates area. I'm getting the attached error: Request failed: 500. Please help.

I submitted ticket #57999 and no one from Nicepage is responding. I already uploaded my package file and gave them access.

Is anyone working here??? I've already paid for this service.

I have similar problem. Purchased full license and testing but,...

Created first new template and pages on the desktop and uploaded to the server. I can see articles created but no access to the menu. Also when I switch to the NP editor all other features available in the Joomla editor are gone. For example there is feature allwing placing the module and others are gone.

Okay, I found a workaround. I created my website via Joomla's NicePage extension instead and not the desktop program.

I was able to *re-create my entire website as individual article pages and not as a template. I imagine this will work for me since I have so few pages, but can't imagine how this will work for someone with hundreds of pages as the layout can be different for each page.

Nice Page does not import well into Joomla from the desktop. Creating it on the website directly using their extension app allowed me to recreate my web page branding.

Hopefully this helps anyone else who is receiving the 500 error when importing template and content into Joomla from Nice Page desktop. Waiting for technical support was crazy. Not sure if Olivia is the only one person working for the company, but I had to find another work around after not receiving a response from her for two of my tickets.

Again, I love the product, but the technical support needs improvement.

Hi,

Our developers are working on this issue. We'll let you know when we receive any news from them.

Agree. It duplicates the article pages and the menu is gone. Something is buggy about the NP software.

The content importing process has a few options. When you reinstall the content from the same project Nicepage plugin proposes you to "Replace..." the content. Otherwise, the content will be imported as new.
Also, there is an option to import menus:

import-menus.png

If this option is not selected the menu will not be created. Also, the menu will not be created if you're using the plugin for importing content (Joomla admin bar >> Nicepage >> Import data).

But you can create a menu in Joomla and add the menu module into the "hmenu" module position.

Also when I switch to the NP editor all other features available in the Joomla editor are gone. For example there is feature allwing placing the module and others are gone.

You can still add the module into the Nicepage page which is a Joomla article with the Position control. Simply add the Position control and specify the name of the position where the desired module is located.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,
Olivia
