Ask a Question

I own ARTISTEER and THEMLER. Unfortunately Artisteer is not up to the task to deal with Joomla3.9+ and Themler is causing lots of problems for me (especially last days I cannot even open a project as I get some wired connection error). It seems that this might be related to some other problems people report here while editing pages NP on the front end.

I asked company several questions (Iguess 8 or so), but this post got lost and I do not know where to find it. I have also sent them a message about discount (because I have two other products) and did not get satisfactory answer.

I'm playing with the free version of the product but it is super limited. They told me there is no 30-days trial or anything like that. Seeing some problems here I have lots of doubts if I should go with this product. My past experience with Artisteer is bitter-sweet, and with Themler rather bitter because I've never used Themler a lot due to its slowliness and akward interface.

I would love to know your CONS about NP, because studying forum posts is hard to get unbiased opinion. The forum itself is super plain and comparing to i.e. phpBB is like a sledge and hammer.

Here are my few concerns (I would love to get answers from those who use NP at least for few months. I do not really care much about WP.
- how can I insert modules into pages ? is this feature working really well ?
- if I upload an article to the server, then somebody edit this article throguh the front page, when happens to my local file ? are those synchronized in any way ?
- is there any protection to lock the document )so two people cannot edit it at the same time)
- are the forms configurable in a way that I can designate my custom table to it ?
- can 2 people edit two different documents at the same time (A)-from the back end (B)-from the front end ?

Very limited support from NP. Header, Footer, Post and Blog pages. You can utilize the plugin "Modules Anywhere" and use their shortcode in NP to embed a position. It's been reported to work fine with the NP pages.

if I upload an article to the server, then somebody edit this article throguh the front page, when happens to my local file ? are those synchronized in any way ?

This is a Joomla function to lock the page. Nicepage just provides the content.

is there any protection to lock the document )so two people cannot edit it at the same time)

Joomla function

are the forms configurable in a way that I can designate my custom table to it ?

Joomla plugin for: "Table and Field Module"

I think Joomla also has a well built field creator in the 3.x series. I've been able to insert a field in any article/blog I tried it with.

But overall opinion is the product is too buggy and lacks too many features to be useful as a Theme creation engine. Content, yeah. Theme? No.

Renew? No.

Agree. Nicepage looks good at first look and it's fun to play with it... all this features as "Revolutionary freehand positioning" is... just fun. You can't do anything serious. Even power of build-in features in CMS is locked with Nicepage. So Nicepage can be useful for small HTML page, like presentation. It's like PowerPoint for Web, but not more. And on Nicepage background we lose Themler, that really power tool.

After 5 days I'm still not even able to get this all to work and look as expected. Perhaps it works on a new installation. On my existing site your product simply made a big mess (I'm lucky I have had backups). There are lots of bugs and issues and the worst part is that with Premium (most expensive license) II still wait 5 days to even get first reponse. I don't think this is a product for me - thank you.

As this is Pre-sale topic, I have an actual question.

Will be Themler given for free when you buy Nicepage?
As when you buy Themler you get Artisteer for free.

As you don't plan major update of Themler, only bug fixes. So Themler now is outdated software, same as Artisteer. Maybe it will be honest to give it for free with Nicepage.

No, it won't. However it will probably enable you to get it at a large discount. On the contrary to Artisteer, themler still works fine. Though it couldn't hurt to update the built-in joomla, bootstrap etc.
