Unfortunately, Nicepage Form is quite simple and does not support such functionality. But please note that you can use any third-party form builder to display forms on the Nicepage pages.

Thanks. Even though the Nicepage form is simple, it can collect all the data I need, which is just an email address.

The problem is then how to transfer that collected email address automatically into the Acymailing (or other newsletter extension) user list. I would have thought that would be a fairly basic small-business function or requirement for a Joomla form. The alternative with the Nicepage form is to have to add them manually which is very time consuming and unnecessary!

We do not support such extended functionality, you can try to implement that using the custom code for the submitting form script.
