Ask a Question

Can you add a module position, say a header the width of the page, then run a forms module like ShackForms in the position?

Hi Colin,

Could you please describe in more details what do you want to achieve. A few marked screenshots showing that will be helpful.
Please note, you can add the position to any part of the theme, but not to the content.

I am simply trying to put a form in a page that will link someone who subscribes to an Acymailing newsletter user list.

I have tried to load an existing Shack Form into a site I am re-designing with Nicepage. I have tried making a module position and loading it into that but can't get it to work. I've tried a static Shack form with a shortcode. I get a module heading but no form.

I've tried a Joomla contact form from the contact component, but that won't load either. I get a module heading but no form.

I've tried your inbuilt forms, and while they will collect the data I need (namely just an email address) there is no integration avenue with Acymailing.

As a sporting club that is building leads through newsletter and event registrations, this is very frustrating.

Further to this, in Nicepage how do you (or can you) put a module in a page with a shortcode, for example {loadmoduleid 109}?

I found a solution to the problem.

Firstly, I don't think the inbuilt Joomla 3 "loadmodule" works in Nicepage. At least, I tried every syntax option and no module ever appeared.

So try one of the other free load module plug-ins at the JED like "load module into article" (https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/load-module-into-article/) or Modules Anywhere (https://extensions.joomla.org/extension/modules-anywhere/). They both worked for me. Just make sure you enable the plug-in and get the shortcode right (they're simple ... Modules Anywhere is just {module XX} where "XX" is the module number.

You can set (override) the Shackform form background with the colour that matches the block you are inserting it into, and set the font to match the text font of the Nicepage template. This looks more professional. Shackforms will integrate fully with Acymailing.

BTW, is there an easy look-up for a Nicepage template colour, I had to use a color picker in the preview to get it.

Hi Colin,

Please refer to the following article about adding the module positions:
https://nicepage.com/doc/article/6700/how-to-use-positions-in-nicepage-joomla-extension

You need to know that it is a Joomla limitation when you cannot add the new position within the content area, you can only call te existing position, so check the position names.

You can ope the Theme drop-down in the application, go to the Colors tab and in the right panel press on the main colors and there you will see the pop-up with the color number.
