Hi Ken,

If you restart the application, do you get the pop-up window with the suggestion to download and install the new update?

Same issue under Wine on Linux. No notification. But I got the email announcement and used the following technique for installation. Windows users take note of answer to your issues below.

Fix is simple though, just download it from the download menu at nicepage and apply it.

Have to admit the installation was funky on my desktop and wouldn't launch directly clicking on it, but bringing up Wines implementation of File Explorer it installed without error.

Windows Users Note: The MSI engine in Windows will handle any upgrades on any program without erroring out. Each MSI editor has a default upgrade routine built into it.

I used to create and or modify MSI installations in an enterprise environments on more than 30k of computers at Lowes HQ in N. Wilksboro, NC prior to their move to Mooresville outside Charlotte and and 160k at Wells Fargo's Charlotte offices in 4 local locations then the entire infrastructure after they bought out Wachovia. Department installs were modified as needed in order to install certain functionality per department and placing incompatible DLLs correctly so the programs ran without errors or interfere with other softwares normal operation. I eliminated 98% of the 'Blue Screen of Death' instances within 2 months after coming on board.

Haven't done that in 10 years, but all of the basics remain the same and aside from renaming the local installer and software suffix there is very little added functionality but a lot of the bugs requiring workarounds are fix so it now is pretty robust. Use one installer editor, then it's simple to learn the competing software at other companies.
