Ask a Question

When I upload my images, they appear fine in the uploader and in my file manager. However when I insert into the cell the image is rotated and I am not able to figure out how to rotate the image back to normal.

Thanks

Hi,

If the image has the orientation you want in Paint and in Xara Designer X pro, save it as a new file (save as) and add it into the Nicepage Editor.

I'm sorry but this is simply not true. I just had a picture that has the right orientation in 5 different software programs, but still shows a 90° image. I am fed up with this, I have spent half of my time trying tro figure out how to add a BASIC SIMPLE image to a website. It's faster building a HTML site with image than using this tool. Yes I am very irritated that I have spend my money on a tool that can't rotate images. This should never be something you should think about. I had to go through hundres of pictures, half of them were randomly 90° oriented. Try it and you'll never want to use your own tool ever again.

this is because Nicepage does not read the xml (exif) contained in the picture

I have the same problem. Even after rotating them using image software, they still show incorrectly

problem with Nicepage not reading the xml in the picture

Colin,

The case is in development. However, the dev team is busy with the prioritized issues. For now, you can use MS Paint for simple rotations.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience!

You can also use the default MS Paint for 90-180-270 degree rotations.

Perhaps a bit late, but when facing the same issues as mentioned previously, saving in Paint 3D as a 2D image (jpeg) fixed the issue for me where rotating and saving didn't.

Sorry, but I would have thought this is a prioritized issue, for me the program is unusable in this state, perhaps when you fix the issue you will extent the licence !

I don't understand why no one has come back about this problem
3 weeks ago I mentioned that photo's are uploaded correctly in the online version, proving its a problem with the offline version

The image problem is a real deal breaker and I don't have the time to make copies of every image so as I can use them in the application

Thank You

Update 22/11/2020

Image orientation does appear to be correct in your online version of the program, so this proves its the windows offline program I suspect
I would add though that some photos are wonky when displayed

Olivia

By removing the EXIF data using the windows tool makes no difference, the photo is still incorrectly displayed
The photo attached as you can see has the EXIF information removed, try replacing a photo in one of your templates and you will see what I mean

Thanks

Hi,

The difference is that Nicepage does not ignore EXIF data.

By removing all the photo data, the image is still not loaded correctly.

Please check the EXIF data of such images with the special tool (any). If the rotation is still there, you will need to use either special tools that remove the EXIF data or resave the image with any graphic editor.

No sorry this does not work
By removing all the photo data, the image is still not loaded correctly.
The problem is specific to the Nice program. There is no other program's that I have where this problem exists , it is therefore a problem specific to your program
Please can you fix this asap

Thank You

Hi,

The issue happens with the specific images with EXIF orientation. For example, if you check the 20200723-170448879-iOS.jpg image you provided with the special tool or browser add-on like EXIF Viewer for FF you will see that this image is rotated 90°. Therefore it is better to upload images with all metadata removed. You can do it with the special PC and mobile tools or simply re-save the image with any graphic editor.

Gayle,

Sorry to be impatient , but is there anything being done about this problem. I see many other problems/enhancements being made/corrected, but the problem with the photo's is a very big one as far as I am concerned

Thank You

Hella

As I have already said, its not specific to any of my own projects.

If you open up any of your own templates and change any of the images using the attached photo which is shot in portrait, you will see that it will load sideways.

It can not be a problem with the photo, all other programs accept the image in the correct orientation

Thanks

Hi,

If you rotate the image correctly in your system and it still appears incorrectly when loaded to the application, then please create a private topic with the image and project attached.
