Ask a Question

Updated to latest version on a Windows 10 system. On startup, I get an error that it can't make a directory. It gets stuck after that on a blank Loading screen and I can't access anything.

Error EPERM: operation not permitted, mkdir 'c:\users\user\Documents'

My data is stored on a D drive rather than C. Not sure why that was changed in the latest update, but now I can't even get to the options menu in order to set the directory.

Vicki,

What version did you use before update?

You can change the project directory manually by editing this file:
%APPDATA%\Nicepage\config.json

Please make a copy of this file before editing it.

Okay, thanks. That worked.

I've kept the software up to date, so whatever the previous version was, is what I had installed.

It seems a recent windows update changed the name of my user directory?? It used my old username, but added a .000 to it. So far that hasn't seemed to affect any other applications.

I found the json file in AppData/Roaming/Nicepage.

Hi Vicki,

Nice to hear that the suggestion above helped. Maybe changing the username and profile has affected the folder name changed. In any case, please let us know if the issue happens again.
