Hi there,

I've entered the Google Tag Manager Container ID in the apropriate site setting's field but when I export the theme (with or without content) to WordPress the GTM Container is only available in preview mode of a page (see screenshots).

What's wrong? Please advise...

Thanks,
Holger

Hi Holger,

Unfortunately the first link gives me the message that I'm blocked and cannot access the site. But the second link with the site has the data in the code:

Hi Hella,

sorry, but this code doesn't seem to be correct. In addition it doesn't fire any tags nor does it initialize Google Tag Manager.

The correct container code snippet should look like this:

<script>(function(w,d,s,l,i){w[l]=w[l]||[];w[l].push({'gtm.start':
new Date().getTime(),event:'gtm.js'});var f=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0],
j=d.createElement(s),dl=l!='dataLayer'?'&l='+l:'';j.async=true;j.src=
'https://www.googletagmanager.com/gtm.js?id='+i+dl;f.parentNode.insertBefore(j,f);
})(window,document,'script','dataLayer','GTM-WS8VHZ6');</script>

Only if I add the correct code manually to each and every page via Page Settings -> HTML everything works fine (use WASP or Google Tag Assistant to verify).

See here:

Said that, can you please urgently correct the problem?

Thanks,
Holger
