Ask a Question

Is "nicepage" able to process and downsample placed images to match final size.
... or it just copy original image files to exported package?

Klemen,

Not for now. But you can reassign hi-res images to be used in the final, let's say HTML/CSS code.

Thanks!

Klemen,

Nicepage optimizes the size for faster loading resizing the bigger images to 1920px wide.

Thank you!

Hi Arthur,
Thanks for your info.
So, is 1920px wide is the largest image size that Nicepage supports and there is no support for higher rez retina screens?
Thanks
Pierre.

Hi everyone,
So, reading above, I understand that Nicepage does not support image optimisation so how will a hero image be displayed on a retina screen if I upload it at 2500px wide? Will it show at 2500px or will it be downsampled to fit in the container on HTML export?
I guess my question is do I prepare all my images at 1100px wide or at 2500px wide?
I haven't tried this BTW, I'm just getting all my images together now but I wanted to start on the right track.
Thanks in advance.
Pierre.

Dear Support team,
Is there any ETA to include "image optimisation" feature in NicePageAPP?

As NicepageAPP do have all info about each used image dimension, it would be really great, to optimise image on export. Sure, there should be also toggle button, to switch between regular and UHD(retina) image resolution.
As this would be really "time saver" comparing to manual image optimisation, I suppose there are a lot of users willing to pay extra for the automatic image optimisation on export.

Hi Klemen,

Unfortunately, Nicepage does not support built-in image optimization. It can be done manually or using an existing tool because different customers require a different optimization result.

Dear all,
Sorry, maybe I missed something, but my "NicePage MAC app" do not offer me image resolution optimisation (downsampling) based on image size defined in the NicePage.
I know, I can use any 3P application to downsample images, but this is manual workload. As NicePage offer phenomenal design flexibility by adjust image dimension with mouse drag, I suppose at exporting html package, there should be image optimisation functionality.
Currently, NicePage just make a copy of full-size source image to exported html package.

It is true, I am currently using free trial option, but want to recheck this functionality before buying app. Please let me know, if this is FreeAPP version limitation.

Otherwise, NicePage looks fantastic...

Hi Klemen,

Nicepage may optimize the inserted images according to the sizes you specify. In any case, using already optimized images in your theme is a good practice.

You should always optimize your images 'before' you add them to your website. Keep the file size as small as possible to aid in page load speed.
