Some questions about licenses and possibilities

Ask a Question

Hi,

purchased Nicepage some time ago (worked with Themler before (and still)) and looks nice. Still, some questions:

  • Wanted to use this for template generator for a client, but have the impression that once the template is created (on Nicepage desktop) and the template is activated on Wordpress, the client can't simply add pages and/or menu items and can only edit pages using Nicepage plugin (which requires one of the user licenses)?

  • If only content needs to be edited by the client, one of the user licenses needs to be used or can this be done by simply using the plugin without registering it?

  • Homepage which needs to be done in multiple languages can't be copied and needs to be redone for every language, correct? This can only be done in Wordpress using the plug-in and chances are that it's not exactly the same (as copying doesn't seem to be possible)?

No worries, will keep using it, but then the usage is more limited than I thought initially...

Thanks!

Kind regards,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Wanted to use this for template generator for a client, but have the impression that once the template is created (on Nicepage desktop) and the template is activated on Wordpress, the client can't simply add pages and/or menu items and can only edit pages using Nicepage plugin (which requires one of the user licenses)?

Once the Nicepage theme is installed on the WP website you cannot edit this theme (design) with the plugin. But the theme provides design for native WP custom menus. Therefore you can add new pages and menu items in a usual way under the Appearance >> Menus. Nicepage theme is just a theme like any other WP theme.
But the Nicepage pages can be edited with the Nicepage plugin only and your client needs the license to make changes (own regular Nicepage license or a client license included into the Pro and Ultimate licenses).

Homepage which needs to be done in multiple languages can't be copied and needs to be redone for every language, correct? This can only be done in Wordpress using the plug-in and chances are that it's not exactly the same (as copying doesn't seem to be possible)?

Unfortunately, Nicepage plugin does not support page copying. As far as I knpw WP does not provide such functionality too. But you can copy pages in Nicepage Desktop or search for WP plugins for copying WP pages.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
