I recently checked my website and I got this message saying that the theme was lower than the plug in version, I know I have updated the theme before but my question is... why in the world can't the theme be updated through the nice page plug in in wordpress? I mean... If I need to make changes to the page, do I always need to used the desktop app then upload the theme to wordpress? If that's the case, then what's the purpose of the nice page plug in in the first place? Now... I know uploading the updated theme is no big deal, but the thing is... I recently made changes to the site through the nicepage plug in in wordpress, meaning that the theme from the desktop app will be different from the one already installed. I think the nice page plug in should be able to update also the theme because if it doesn't... then I don't what use could we give such plug in. Thanks for any suggestions updating the theme without losing anything already added on the older one.

The Nicepage plugin for WordPress can be used only for creating and editing Nicepage pages within WordPress. It does not work with WordPress themes. So far, you need to use Nicepage Desktop and Nicepage Online for uploading a theme. However, we hope that one day, this process will be faster and more convenient. Hello and thanks for the quick reply, it seems I didn't explained myself properly, I will try again. I am using the nice page plugin to edit my page, I am not using a wordpress theme or using wordpress to edit my page. The theme I am using is from nicepage.com BUT... this theme does not update itself after editing it using the plug in, the only way that I have manage to update it, is by editing the page/them through the desktop app, which makes no sense at all to have the plug in, why use the plug in to edit the page if everytime I need to update the theme, I will have to use the desktop app, which at the same time will erase whatever I edited with the nice page plug in? So the thing is... how do I update the theme using the nice page plug in? Cause I don't want to lose whatever changes I have made so far to the page.

Hi, Juan,

You can easily update the theme without affecting the existing content on your site. Please make sure that you select only Theme in the export dialog window.

After exporting, install the theme on Appearance ==> Themes and activate it. Here is the instruction: https://nicepage.com/doc/67768/export-and-update-wp-theme-from-app
