Hello I am using this software and it says on the website it's free to export items to html, however it's appears to be a paid thing in the menu.

Vote to pay developers attention to this features or issue.

Have you tried exporting it? I am very sure that it is possible.
Otherwise, maybe send a screenshot.

have exported it but I get a message saying it's a Premium. Was I charged?

The free version won't allow html export from online.
From the desktop it's free, but typically, you need to press export twice.
