Hi Silke,

Here is the general css that can be used for this (example for link color):

.u-position[data-position*="POSITION_NAME"] .u-block-content a
{
color: red;
}

Here "POSITION_NAME" is the name of the widget area where the widget is located.

Custom CSS can be added to the Site Settings >> CSS or page Properties >> CSS.

Hello, i made a screenshot.

I have f.e. a text-widget in the footer and menu-widget.

The styling for text-colour and hover is coming from the theme.

But at this place i want to change the colours, because i installed a dark background colour.

Maybe i can influence it, but i dont know how.

Thanks for help!!!

Silke,

When you insert the Position control you see the dummy text in Block Content. You can apply basic styles for block content text. Unfortunately, link hover setting is not supported. All links use default project settings.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you!!! Now i understand it. I made a mistake while adding directly widget-areas. I also found your video etc.

Just a litte question for the styling: where can i style the text which will appear in this position(widget) - like links hover etc.

Best regards

Hi Silke,

Footer is an element of the theme. Therefore if you want to see Footer on your WP website, you should export theme too. In Nicepage you can create a WP widget area using Position control (Add >> Position and Shortcode >> Position & Sidebar). To create a new widget area in the Footer, you should insert this control into the Footer and set the desired position name. After this, the new widget area will be created in the theme and you will be able to add new widgets to this widget area under the WP Appearance >> Widgets.

The Text Widget, as well as other widgets that you can add in Nicepage, does not create a new widget area and you cannot edit it in WordPress.

Therefore I suggest that you create regular widget areas where you can add any WP widgets you need.
