Ask a Question

If I have a website for say, ABC Corporation that has three pages: the main page is index.html and there is a page for team.html and services.html.

How do I get "ABC Corporation" in the title tag of each page? If I add it to more than one page there is an error message and I cannot save. There seems to be no way for me to specify this title name and the exact names of the html files, it is all based around the overall name given to the pages.

Also, on exporting, why is there an html file created identical to the index page, with the name of the "Home" page?

Thanks

Hi,

How do I get "ABC Corporation" in the title tag of each page? If I add it to more than one page there is an error message and I cannot save. There seems to be no way for me to specify this title name and the exact names of the html files, it is all based around the overall name given to the pages.

Please check page properties >> Seo tab >> Title. This option is responsible for title tag in the page HEAD. You can use any here.

Also, on exporting, why is there an html file created identical to the index page, with the name of the "Home" page?

Let's say you have 2 pages: home.html and page1.html.
Some servers require index.html file. Therefore we use the page that you specified as a website home page to create index.html file. How you don't need to create this file manually.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thank you - that works fine now.

I have renamed the specified "Home" page as index and I just get the one version on exporting, so a bit tidier.

Hi,

You need to open the Page Settings. Provide a screenshot of the missing Title input.
