Hi Kris,

The favicon can be added into the theme within the desktop application. You can also add the desired link to author in the footer of the theme. Then export the theme and upload it to your Joomla site.

So it's recommended to make first the template in the desktop version and add it later to the site. And not to make a basic template and improve it in the joomla environment?

Hi Kris,

Let me explain a bit. The Header, Footer, favicon are the elements of the theme. Theme can be edited in the desktop application only. The sections you see between the header and footer is a content of the page. Content can be edited on the live site using the plug-in. But the theme part cannot be edited in the plug-in on the site. So in case you need to change theme elements, please use the desktop application and export the theme with the changes.

I didnt create the favicon in the theme. Now I have lots of content already on the life site. Created and edited there. Now what? Should I re-import the theme? Will it not damage the content created? Who the hell should know this....?!

Hi,

Yes, you can edit the favicon option in the desktop application and then export it as the theme only Load the theme on your site and activate. It should affect the theme only and not the content.
