HOW CAN I (TEMPORARILY) HIDE THE SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION FROM THE SEARCH ENGINES?

Thanks for being our customer!
1) Open Nicepage Desktop or Online, open Page Settings ==> SEO. There, you will see the Don't show the page in search results box. Check it. After that, you should upload your website to your server again (if you use a third-party service for hosting). Unfortunately, it is not possible to hide the whole site at once using Nicepage tools.
2) You can also try to use the methods from this article: https://www.link-assistant.com/blog/hiding-from-indexation-part-1/
3) For WordPress please use existing WordPress plugins. There are a lot of plugins that provide such functionality.

Hi,
I read the link you provide and still don't know if pages like cookie info, and terms and conditions page should be hidden from the search engine. I think they should because they are not usefull for anybody in the search engine, but don't know if it will hit me in the score because I've less pages do direct to my main page.

If you want your website to be displayed well in the search engine, it is better not to hide some definite pages. Anyway, you can test it on your own and find out if you should hide these pages or not.
