Overview

If you have changes in your Nicepage desktop projects, you can export and import the Nicepage pages and Plugin to your hosted WordPress website.

NOTE: We are working on updating the videos. The following video tutorial was made with one of the previous versions.

Export From Application

You can export only Pages and the Nicepage Editor Plugin from the Nicepage Applicaition for Windows or Mac OS.

  1. Run the Desktop Application.
  2. Create a New Site or open an existing one.
  3. Click the Publish button on the Top Bar.
  4. In the dialog, select the WordPress Tab.
  5. Uncheck the Theme checkbox.
  6. The "Pages and Editor Plugin" checkbox must be checked.
  7. Click the "Export" button to export the ZIP file with Pages and the Editor Plugin.

Delete Plugin In WordPress

To reinstall the Editor Plugin, please do the following.

  1. Open the WordPress Administration.
  2. Go to Plugins -> **Installed Plugins.
  3. Locate the Nicepage Plugin.
  4. Deactivate it.
  5. Delete the Nicepage Plugin.

NOTE: Your WordPress pages are affected by removing the Nicepage Editor Plugin.

Reinstall Plugin

Please do the following to reinstall the Plugin exported from the Desktop Application.

  1. Click the "Add New" button.
  2. Click the "Upload Plugin" button.
  3. Browse the exported ZIP file.
  4. Click the "Install Now" button.
  5. Activate the Plugin.
  6. You can skip the Replace Content section if it is unnecessary.

Replace Content

If you mainly work with the Desktop Application, you can update the Pages on your WordPress site with the Wizard. If closed, restart the Wizard from "Nicepage -> Plugin Wizard."

  1. Click the "Replace previously imported content" button.
  2. After the import is complete, open Pages.
  3. Open any Page.
  4. Open the same page in the Application.
  5. Compare results.

NOTE: You update only the exported Pages. Other WordPress Pages remain unchanged.
